January 5, 2007, Newsletter Issue #45: The Office of the Inspector General

Tip of the Week

In the U.S. armed forces, there are channels for dealing with discrimination and harassment. If you find yourself in a situation where sexual discrimination, race prejudice or other unlawful 'hostile work environments' are allowed to continue, the Office of the Inspector General is where complaints like these are handled. Your local Inspector General is required to investigate all complaints, and by regulation no retaliation may happen to those who complain.
