May 12, 2006, Newsletter Issue #15: The Online Reunion

Tip of the Week

Any kind of reunion party can be difficult to pull off--it takes time, coordination and most of all, the willingness of all involved to travel to see one another again. Thanks to the internet, you can do something far less expensive and just as fun by scheduling electronic military reunions. Find or create an internet chatroom where you and your old friends can meet. Pick a designated time to reminisce and share good memories, and let the fun begin!

The best part about an online military reunion is that you can use part of this time where you have most everyone together in one electronic place to coordinate and plan your big, in-person reunion. Having everyone chime in on what kind of party, location and time of year will be much better for all involved, and the electronic mini military reunions are a lot of fun. If some of your friends are still serving overseas, the time differences may be a bit tricky, but once you've ironed out a good time for everyone, coordinating the 'real thing' should be far easier than trying to get it all done via email or the U.S. Postal Service.
